The Dell Latitude 7420 FHD Laptop Notebook with Intel Core i7 11th Gen Processor (16GB Ram, 512GB SSD, WiFi, Bluetooth) Windows 11 Pro – Carbon Fiber (Renewed) is a professionally refurbished business-class laptop that combines modern processing power, a crisp full-HD display, and a clean Windows 11 Pro environment. As a Grade A refurbished unit, it has been cosmetically rejuvenated and rigorously tested for functionality before leaving the facility. This article provides a detailed, specification-driven review of the device based entirely on its official product title and description.

Build and Cosmetic Condition

The laptop is presented in a carbon fiber finish and is classified as Grade A Refurbished. According to the product description, each unit has been cosmetically rejuvenated but may show subtle signs of being preloved. This means the chassis is in excellent overall condition, with only minor, hardly noticeable evidence of prior use. The Dell Latitude series is known for its durable, professional design, and the 7420 continues that tradition in a 14-inch form factor that is well suited for travel and daily commuting.

Processor and Performance

At the heart of the system is an Intel Core 11th Generation i7-1165G7 processor. This is a quad-core CPU with a base clock of 1.8GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of up to 4.70GHz, backed by a 12MB cache. The i7-1165G7 is a capable low-power Tiger Lake chip designed for ultrabooks and business laptops, offering strong single-threaded performance and efficient multitasking. Paired with 16GB of RAM, the laptop is well equipped for productivity workloads such as document editing, web browsing with many tabs, video conferencing, and light content creation. The 16GB memory configuration ensures smooth operation without frequent bottlenecking during typical business or academic tasks.

Graphics and Display

The Latitude 7420 features a 14-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) display with wide view angle, anti-glare coating, and 250-nits brightness. The non-touch panel is designed to reduce reflections in office or classroom lighting, while the full-HD resolution delivers sharp text and clear imagery. Graphics duties are handled by integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics, which provides a meaningful improvement over older integrated solutions and supports everyday media playback, presentation tasks, and casual creative applications without the need for a discrete GPU.

Storage

Storage is provided by a 512GB PCIe M.2 NVMe Class 35 Solid State Drive. This SSD delivers fast boot times, quick application launches, and responsive file transfers compared to traditional hard drives. A 512GB capacity offers a balanced amount of space for the operating system, business software, documents, and a moderate media library, making it a practical choice for professionals and students alike.

Connectivity and Ports

The notebook is WLAN capable and includes Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 plus Bluetooth, ensuring modern wireless performance with improved throughput and stability on compatible networks. For physical connections, the laptop includes USB ports and an HDMI port, allowing users to attach peripherals, external storage, or a second monitor with ease. There is no DVD drive, which is consistent with the slim modern design of contemporary business laptops. A built-in webcam supports virtual meetings, and the backlit keyboard enables comfortable typing in low-light environments.

Operating System and Software

The device ships with a brand new installation of the latest Microsoft Windows 11 Pro Operating System. Importantly, the product description notes that the system is free of the bloatware commonly installed by other manufacturers. This provides a clean, secure starting point for users who want a streamlined computing experience. The laptop is configured to handle the most common tasks right out of the box and is described as custom tailored for a secure start. It is also stated to be compatible with Windows 11, with a free upgrade available whenever needed.

Battery and Power Accessories

Each renewed unit includes functional batteries and AC adapters, which may be third-party new or OEM used. This ensures the laptop is retail ready and can be used immediately upon arrival. While the description does not specify battery runtime, the inclusion of tested functional batteries means the system is prepared for portable use.

Testing, Warranty, and Support

Before leaving the facility, every unit undergoes rigorous functionality testing. Buyers receive a 90-day warranty and 90-day tech support, ensuring a smooth, easy, and secure introduction to the device. The warranty covers the refurbished hardware for three months, and the tech support provides assistance during the initial setup and usage period.

Target Use Cases

Given its specifications, the Dell Latitude 7420 Renewed is well suited for:

• Business professionals needing a reliable, secure Windows 11 Pro machine
• Students requiring a lightweight yet capable 14-inch laptop
• Remote workers who rely on Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, webcam, and backlit keyboard
